Coalville is a city in Summit County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Salt Lake City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,363 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Summit County. Interstate 80 runs through the town, as well as the Weber River which runs into Echo Reservoir just north of Coalville.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,382 people, 465 households, and 371 families residing in the city. The population density was 483.9 people per square mile (186.8/km²). There were 495 housing units at an average density of 173.3 per square mile (66.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.13% White, 0.07% African American, 0.80% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 4.92% from other races, and 0.72% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.87% of the population.
